Cutenews uploading and intergrating.
You will need to download cutenews first from Cutephp.com
Unzip and put somewhere that you can find it.
Now, you have to put every file in cutenews on to your site. There are two different ways to do it, that I know of. You can go through the whole file and upload them yourself (its long a boring. -.- ) Or you could get a FTP client.
If you upload them all by hand, you will need to make sure you get them all...If you would like a free FTP client Core FTP is free to use. (I like it-->Coreftp.com)
If you want to upload them via Core FTP follow the following:
Open up Core FTP. You will be prompted with a screen. Type in your site name, URL. You will also need to type in your screen name to log in and password. The rest should be the same here.
Remember that if you host off of another site, you will need to type YOURSITE.Awardspace.com or whatever you host is, not YOURSITE.co.nr. It wont work.
Click connect and you should be to see everything on your site.
You will need to find your cutenews file that is placed on your computer. You will also need to have a place to put the cutenews file on your site.
Now drag your cutenew folder to the other site, where ever you want to put it.
That's what it should look like. It takes a few minutes or so....so sit back and relax.
Now, When thats finished downloading, you will need to go to the place you uploaded it to. For me it would be dream-graphics.org/cutenews/Tutorial/cutenews.1.4.5/cutenews (I forgot there was a file inside my cutenews file...so its a little long =/)
You should be taken to a screen that looks like this
Click Proceed. As long as everything says its writable, then you are good. Click proceed.
Now fill out the form and click proceed.
Type in your username and password, You are now into your cutenews.
Now to intergrate onto your site. First you will need to get into your host and create a place where you want your cutenews to be. It can be anything as long as it is a .php file.
Now go back to your cutenews. Go to options.
Click Intergrate NEWS into your site. Fill out the form. and click Proceed. Now copy that code and paste it on to that page that you created with the .php
You should be set!
Your Login is going to be the page you uploaded. and the news is the page you made.
